ABOUT
US
We are a modern and purpose-built clinic in the Olley’s Orange shopping complex at North Maclean.
Founded in 2018, we are independently owned and operated by Drs Kylie & Erica.
We have lots to offer our clients and patients — including state-of-the-art equipment to care for your pets, and a Radioactive Iodine Facility for hyperthyroid cats.

We see both dogs and cats, and we are an accredited Cat Friendly Clinic, providing additional support and special care for our feline patients. We are also a Calm Clinic, providing additional support and special care for any stressed or fearful patients.

Our focus is to create an environment that nourishes our relationship with our clients and their pets. We strive to provide excellence in service and care for every patient that is tailored to their needs and the family’s needs. We are committed to creating an environment that nourishes our relationship with our staff, providing a healthy workplace that encourages continuous education and skill development.
With these goals in mind, we love to deliver the best attention and care possible for your pets — because pets are family too!

OUR
SUSTAINABLE
JOURNEY
Single use plastic and waste is a topic frequently seen in the news and social media. Large amounts of plastic waste are created by the medical and veterinary industry as a result of improvements in hygiene and sterility.

At North Maclean Family Vet, we are committed to reducing our contribution to waste, without compromising the care of our patients. In order to provide good hygiene, and avoid contamination and infection, some items must be single-use only and must be discarded. However, we aim to collect and recycle anything we can!
We aim to reduce our paper use by focusing on email and text communications.
We currently recycle
Plastics (soft & hard)
Paper & cardboard
Food tins
Drink containers
Coffee capsules
Printer Toners
IV Fluid bags & administration sets
Hair
We have partnered with Sustainable Salons, who allow us to recycle all uncontaminated fur and plastics. All fur is turned into hair booms and hair dirt.
All of our plastics are recycled into plant pots or dog leashes.

A note from Kylie...
Hello!
Here at North Maclean Family Vet, we are proud of the team and the culture we have created! Founded by Erica and myself, we are proud to be a locally owned, family run small animal clinic. No corporates here!
As a team, we created core values that are important to us, and used in every day working life.
Being a supportive, caring and respectful team
Learning through communication and listening
Enjoying where we work and the people we work with
Exceptional patient care and customer service
We believe our clinic is exceptional – we provide a high standard of patient care, we keep up to date with new recommendations, and we have the equipment to do so.
Our care ranges from general practice work – the routine stuff – to more specialised care such as orthopaedic surgery, and radioactive iodine treatment for hyperthyroid cats! Our clients love and appreciate what we can offer them in our clinic, with less need to travel to other centres for ongoing care.

Our clients value our smiles, our friendliness, our education and our approach to their pets, and we appreciate the care they provide for their pets when working in partnership with us!

We have a firm focus on calm patient care - pheromone diffusers everywhere, Thundershirts and treats galore! We are an Silver Cat Friendly Clinic too!

We love our team and value them highly – regular training on what THEY want to learn about, a Mental Health board daily to check in on each other, an active Health & Wellbeing Hub, and we embrace neurodiversity.

Most importantly, we like to have fun! Music choices get shared around, jokes are readily welcomed (we have a blackboard for jokes for the public as well), we do social functions every 3 months so we can enjoy our teammates outside of work as well!

If you can see yourself with us or want more information, I would love to hear from you!
